Frequency converter

Frequency transformer is generally a power control device that uses the on-off function of power semiconductor devices to convert the power frequency power supply into another frequency of electrical energy. The main circuit of a frequency converter can be roughly divided into two categories: voltage type is a frequency converter that converts the DC of the voltage source into AC, and the filtering of the DC circuit is a capacitor; Current type is a frequency converter that converts the DC of a current source into AC, and its DC circuit filter is an inductor.

And the frequency converter generates a certain amount of heat during operation, so how should we dissipate it?
① Using a frequency converter cooling fan for heat dissipation: The built-in cooling fan is generally used for small capacity general-purpose frequency converters, and it can take away the heat inside the frequency converter.
② Reduce installation environment temperature: As the frequency converter is an electronic device containing electronic components, electrolytic capacitors, etc., temperature has a significant impact on its lifespan. The operating temperature of a universal frequency converter is generally required to be -10 ℃~50 ℃. If measures can be taken to minimize the operating temperature of the frequency converter, its service life will be extended and its performance will be relatively stable.

Choose the appropriate cooling fan to achieve the best cost-effectiveness, while also fully considering the environmental factors used in the frequency converter. For situations with harsh environments (high temperature, high humidity, coal mines, oil fields, offshore platforms), corresponding measures must be taken to ensure the normal and reliable operation of the frequency converter. From the perspective of the frequency converter itself, efforts should be made to avoid the influence of adverse factors as much as possible. For example, sealing treatment can be carried out to ensure that the heat dissipation duct is in contact with the outside air and to avoid the impact of dust, wind and sand on the interior of the frequency converter; Insulation spraying treatment can be applied to various components of the frequency converter for salt spray, humidity, etc; The frequency converter used for field operations should be protected against sunlight, fog, dust, and rain; For high temperature and high humidity environments, air conditioning and other equipment can be added for cooling and dehumidification, providing a good environment for the frequency converter and ensuring its reliable operation.
